This year, you could be in the running to receive an award unique to the Carbon Literacy Action Day – the CLAD Catalyst!
The CLAD Catalyst is an initiative that celebrates those who go above and beyond for Carbon Literacy, and therefore for climate change, on the Carbon Literacy Action Day.
We will be awarding three participating organisations and/or training providers that showcase the best examples of catalytic Carbon Literacy with a badge of special recognition for their commitment to tackling climate change.
To be in the running for the CLAD Catalyst award, all you have to do is:
What will the CLAD Catalyst win?
At The Carbon Literacy Project, we believe in the power of collective action to drive the shift towards a better, low-carbon future. As the consequences of the climate emergency become increasingly evident, Carbon Literacy must reach those with the influence to shape decisions and set direction.
From Senior Leadership Teams to local representatives, engaging key decision-makers will create the momentum needed for change at scale. When leaders step forward, they set the tone and send a powerful message. Visible commitment from senior managers, trustees, elected members, community organisers and team leads shows that climate action is a strategic priority. It strengthens culture, builds credibility and inspires others to get involved.
Invite your senior leaders, managers and community organisers to take part in a Carbon Literacy training session during CLAD. Whether in the workplace or at the heart of your community, we understand that one of the biggest barriers to participation is a busy diary. CLAD provides plenty of notice, giving you sufficient time to plan ahead and secure leadership involvement.
Use CLAD as an opportunity to showcase climate leadership. Promote participation through PR, social media, and storytelling to raise awareness of your initiative and attract wider attention. Share your Carbon Literacy journey, highlight ambassadors, testimonials and endorsements, and showcase success stories that set the direction for a low-carbon future and inspire others to take action.
We’re also keen to hear about the actions pledged as a result of their Carbon Literacy training. Climate leadership doesn’t end with CLAD, it’s what happens next that matters. Whether it’s shaping strategy, allocating resources, launching new initiatives or championing low-carbon behaviour, we want to hear how your leaders are turning their learning into impact. Do share actions, decisions and tangible steps they’re taking to accelerate climate action in your organisation or community.
Will you be one of our 2026 CLAD Catalysts?

Carbon Literacy Consultant, Georgina Patel, delivered training on every day of CLAD to UK-based and international organisations. Notable participants include learners from the Ugandan Office of the Prime Minister and the Parliamentary Forum on Climate Change who voiced their ambitions to engage government stakeholders in shaping the pathways to net zero.

The Sustainable Wedding Alliance delivered a strategically designed and highly influential CLAD programme that engaged key industry leaders to maximise sector-wide impact. By bringing together venue teams, suppliers and partners, they championed a collaborative shift toward lower-carbon practices in the wedding sector.

Transport for London demonstrated exceptional ambition and reach throughout CLAD by training learners across multiple business areas, engaging senior leaders and the construction industry. They also collaborated with regional transport authorities, suppliers and ran multiple events to promote climate action and TfL’s long-term low-carbon vision.
